We currently offer GCSE Media Studies (EDQUAS), GCSE English Language and Literature (AQA) and Level 3 Media (Single Award) and A Level English Literature (AQA, Lit B).

We would welcome applications from teachers early in their careers, including PGCE students through to experienced staff. *We would also consider someone who may want part time (Minimum 0.6) who is willing to job share within the faculty. 

Our last Ofsted inspection was in October 2021 where the Academy was judged to be good in all categories and for overall effectiveness with some excellent feedback across all subjects and our Pastoral Care. You will have/show:

• Meet the requirements of the attached job description.
• Experience of delivering: English Language and Literature at KS3 and 4 and
• Ability to teach a second subject at least at KS3.
• The ability to stimulate curiosity, interest and enjoyment in learning.
• Confidence in dealing with students across different age ranges particularly Key Stage 4 and 5.
• The determination to support in raising student achievement within the classroom.
• The passion to enrich the lives of our students and contribute to the development of Cultural Capital to enhance the life opportunities for our students.
• Outstanding inter-personal and communication skills with students, colleagues, parents and other professionals.
• Ability to teach PSHE as part of our form time programme.
• A clear understanding of the importance of Safeguarding.
