Free School Meals – Lockdown January 2021

The Academy has received a few queries over the last few days regarding Free School Meals (FSM), in the announcement on the 4th January Boris Johnson committed to providing additional support to ensure pupils entitled to free school meals “will continue to receive them while schools are closed”. As yet new guidance has not been issued, whilst we wait for further guidance on this, parents/carers can still request a meal which can be collected daily from reception. If you require this service please call in before 10.30am to request for that day, or you can request for every day.

Academy Reception is manned from 8am daily - 01922 721071

If parents are on a low income, and there is a risk that their children will go without food or heating this week (whilst awaiting further FSM guidance) they can apply for help directly via the Council’s Crisis Support Scheme by emailing housingandwelfaresupport@walsall.gov.uk or calling 01922 652250.
