Clarification of the possible reopening of Joseph Leckie Academy to some students from the 1st June.

Clarification of the possible reopening of Joseph Leckie Academy to some students from the 1st June.

With the interest of all our students, their families and our staff, the majority of our students will still be working from home, from the 1st June. Only students who the Academy makes direct contact with will be required to attend. We are still at the moment completing all of the required changes and ensuring the site is safe for all who will attend. We are still waiting for further guidance and clarification from the Government regarding secondary school settings and continue to work on our risk assessments and protocols, as we wait to receive this.

Work will continue to be provided to students, using the methods they should now be very familiar with, via Sharepoint, Ruler Classroom and via email from subject teachers. Paper work packs will continue to be sent home to those who require them for now. Further guidance on home learning is available on our Student Learning Plans page on our website.

For further information please see the full letter home to parents from our Acting Principal, on our Letters Home section on our website. Further guidance for parents and for students will continue to be provided via the official Academy communication methods.
