Exploring Media Language, Industries, Audiences and Representation
This is a written exam (1 hour 30 minutes) which accounts for 40% of the grade.
This section focuses on magazines, marketing (film posters), newspapers, or print advertisements, film, newspapers, radio and video games.
Understanding Media Forms and Products
This is a written exam (1 hour 30 minute) which accounts for 30% of the grade.
This section assesses the theory and contexts of television and music.
Creating Media Products
This is a practical assessment which accounts for 30% of the grade. Pupils will create their own media product (short film) towards a set brief for a target audience.
