Personal Development Programme (PDP)
All students at Key Stage 3 will cover the following topic areas across Year 7 and 8. The content will be delivered through specially themed days which are taught by our own dedicated staff and external speakers where appropriate. Topics covered are:
- Sex and Relationship Education.
- Citizenship.
- Careers.
- Enterprise.
Course Content
Sex and Relationship Education:
- Scientific facts about the reproductive system.
- Healthy Relationships and staying safe.
Citizenship:
- Democratic rights and responsibilities.
- Becoming a socially responsible citizen.
Careers:
- Linking education to future careers and making good choices.
Enterprise:
- Themed competitions to extend knowledge.
Gifted and Talented Provision
- Additional relevant tasks

Assessment
Although there is no formal assessment or examination at Key Stage 3 for PDP, teachers will keep record and record the progress of all students in their groups in order to ensure that they understand all of the key concepts.
