Catering

The Academy meals service is provided by our own Joseph Leckie Academy Kitchen team, supported by CMC.

The food children eat at school plays an important role in their wellbeing, and eating a well-balanced diet will not only maintain and improve their health, but will also set them on the right track for later life. All of their dishes are prepared daily using quality and locally sourced food that is cooked in our kitchen.

The food children eat at school plays an important role in their wellbeing and eating a well-balanced diet will not only maintain and improve their health, but will also set them on the right track for later life.

All dishes are prepared Daily using quality, fresh and seasonal ingredients that are responsibly sourced and cooked in our Academy kitchen. As well as ensuring the food on the plate is healthy, this supports understanding of the importance of eating the right foods and helps our students with their food and nutritional journey.

Lots of Choice

The Academy Kitchen Manger along with CMC, have formulated the menu choices considering the dietary requirement outlined by the DfE, whilst maintaining the food choices enjoyed by our pupils. We will continually monitor these choices and may on occasion, replace some options with Special Day Menus.

Special Diets and Food Allergens

Don’t think our great food can’t be enjoyed if you have a special diet. We can provide food an intolerance, an allergy, or require an alternative choice due to religious beliefs.

Legislation requires caterers to provide allergen information on food sold that is served ‘unpackaged’. The Joseph Leckie Academy Kitchen team, supported by CMC already cater for lots of children with allergies and we regularly check the information from suppliers to see if there have been any ingredient changes.
