All Year 11 students not attending Joseph Leckie Academy have the opportunity to apply to the Sixth Form.
Entry is based upon performance in GCSE examinations, coupled with a positive approach to studies, excellent attendance, punctuality and behaviour.
Students wishing to apply to the Sixth Form will need to complete the application form below and provide evidence of good attendance and punctuality, a positive behaviour record and a desire to study, this will be confirmed on interview. Information provided by the student along with estimated grades will be used to form the basis of a provisional offer.
Students predicted extremely good GCSE grades will be given the opportunity to study four subjects. Most universities require three "good" A Levels or Vocational qualifications only. An Extended Project Qualification (EPQ) is offered to students who wish to complete further academic study in addition to their standard offer.

To undertake an A-Level course you must:
Gain 5 different GCSE's at grade 5 or above including Maths and English Language, with a 6 in the A-Level you wish to undertake
To undertake a level 3 course you must:
Gain 5 different GCSE's at grade 4 or above, where you have completed the level 2 courses, you must attain at least a Pass level 2 grade.
Level 3 National Diploma Equivalent to 2 A-Levels Level 3 National Extended Certificate Equivalent to 1 A-Levels
To undertake a T-level course you must:
Gain 5 different GCSE's at grade 4 or above, including Maths and English Language.
T-Level - Equivalent to 3 A-Levels
At this time you will NOT be allowed to select 4 options.
