Sixth Form

Joseph Leckie Academy provides a safe and challenging environment which maximises opportunities for all members of the community. We work in partnership with parents to equip all of our students to be confident and effective young people and lifelong learners.

The "Into the Sixth Evening" will take place on Thursday 22nd November 2018

We look forward to meeting you.

"Over the years, Joseph Leckie Academy has established itself as one of the best schools in the Black Country with rapidly improving educational results at GCSE and A Level. This has recently been backed up by a good Ofsted Inspection Report and by the excellent academic success achieved by our students.

We believe in high academic standards, rich personal development and future success. These ambitious aims are reflected in the high quality of our teaching staff, the careful planning of our curriculum and in the advice and guidance offered to all of our students.

Our promise to you is a learning experience that will give you every opportunity to succeed.  We hope you will come to us excited, curious and prepared to meet the challenges of an innovative Sixth Form. If you do, we know that you will leave us highly qualified, confident and independent in mind and spirit".

- Keith Whittlestone - Principal

Sixth Form at Joseph Leckie is an amazing place to be.

It is a great area of the Academy, where those aged 16-18 can benefit from the great teaching that the Academy offers.

It helps you develop both intellectually and socially and you’ll make great friends along your journey.

Opportunities like Duke of Edinburgh and the mentoring scheme just add to the experience.

The Upper Study area is a fantastic supportive environment and there are a wide range of extra-curricular activities provided to students, which make you a better person and help you access university after you finish.

There is a support network here that is about your welfare as well as your education to ensure that you are safe and achieve in both.
